One day while Jim Jardine, my son Carl and I were out sailing, I saw a guy on
another sailboat taking photos of us as we sailed up Raccoon Strait on May 5th,
2001. I suspected that it could be a photo boat, so I told
everyone to wave (unfortunately, Carl was too busy grinding on the genoa winch).
As it turned out, the guy on the other boat was one of the Latitude 38
photographers taking beauty shots for an article. Next thing I know is
that everyone in the marina is telling me they saw my photo in Latitude 38 !
In their June 2001 issue, Latitude 38 ran an article about "The Perfect Day Sail",
and used the photo of us as an example.
